Why it matters: Cartoon Crime gives players an open world with missions, vehicles, shops and side activities, with ongoing updates expanding its map and gameplay. Update 8, released on October 14, 2026, added a Wild West-inspired desert region in the northeast, including Redstone Canyon, Dustwing Airfield and volcanic islands.
The update also introduced rally cars, armoured vehicles and desert tanks, alongside Mission 22, Beneath the Sand, which sends players to hunt tunnel spiders and desert scorpions. Other changes include more aggressive police, tougher wildlife, improved vehicle handling and performance fixes for police chases and co-op play.
