Overview

Dead Mage is an independent game development studio founded in 2010 by Amir H. Fassihi and focused on PC, console and mobile games. LinkedIn currently lists the company at 11-50 employees.

The studio has strong Iranian roots, with its early development work and team based in Tehran. It has also maintained a US presence, and 11 bit studios previously described Dead Mage as a US-Iranian studio based in Austin, Texas.

Dead Mage's portfolio includes Garshasp: The Monster Slayer, Shadow Blade, Shadow Blade: Reload and Children of Morta. The latter became the studio's best-known title, combining roguelike action with a narrative centred on the Bergson family.

The studio is currently working on Tale of Ronin, a narrative-driven action RPG about a wandering samurai, while also continuing its work on Wizard of Legend 2 following its collaboration with Contingent99.
