The Dubai Films and Games Commission (DFGC) has opened registration for the first Dubai Playtest Night, a free event where players can try upcoming games from UAE developers and give feedback directly to their creators.

The session runs on Saturday, November 14th, from 2 pm to 6 pm in Dubai. Players can register through Luma, though attendance is subject to host approval, with the exact venue shared once approved.

Playtesting means trying games still in development and sharing honest feedback on whether they are fun and make sense. The event also gives players a chance to meet the developers behind the projects.

**Developers can apply**

Studios with a game to showcase must apply separately through a developer form rather than the player sign-up. The event adds to the commission's growing programme for the emirate's industry.

DFGC, which sits under the Dubai Media Council, runs the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, a plan to make Dubai a top 10 gaming destination by 2033, and says 495 gaming companies now operate in the city, up 34.5% from 2024.
