Overview

The Iran Computer and Video Games Foundation (IRCG) is a national organisation focused on supporting and developing Iran's video game industry. Established in 2007 under the supervision of Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the foundation works across industry development, training, research, policy and market oversight.

The foundation provides support for Iranian game developers, including financial assistance, infrastructure and distribution support, while also organising national festivals, exhibitions and other industry events. Its Iran Game Development Institute provides training and aims to develop talent for the country's games sector.

IRCG also operates the Entertainment Software Rating Association (ESRA), Iran's game-rating system, and the Digital Games Research Center (DIREC), which produces research and market data on the country's games industry.
