Overview
Mahdi Bahrami is an independent Iranian game developer based in Isfahan. He has been developing games for more than a decade, with his work often combining experimental gameplay with ideas drawn from Persian art, architecture, mathematics and geometry.
His games include Engare, a puzzle game built around motion and geometry, and Tandis, which explores geometric transformations through a series of 3D puzzles. Engare was released for PC and Mac in 2017 and received recognition from events including the Independent Games Festival and IndieCade.
Bahrami has also developed Farsh, a Persian-themed puzzle game built around the mechanics of unfolding a carpet, and Bo, an earlier experimental project. His work has been recognised at events in Iran and internationally, including the Tehran Games Festival, Tokyo's Sense of Wonder Night and the Independent Games Festival.
