Overview

Morocco Gaming Industry (MGI) is the official platform of Morocco's Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication dedicated to developing the country's gaming industry. It brings together information and resources for game developers, entrepreneurs, talent and other industry stakeholders.

The platform covers several areas of the country's gaming strategy, including training, incubation, support and incentives, infrastructure, game jams and video games. It also provides information about the Morocco Gaming Expo and the country's growing development ecosystem.

MGI is also involved in initiatives designed to develop local talent and studios. Its Video Game Incubator supports Moroccan gaming entrepreneurs through training, international expertise and industry networking. The second edition launched in 2026 with 12 Moroccan entrepreneurs taking part.

The platform also promotes Rabat Gaming City, a planned integrated gaming district intended to bring together developers, publishers, startups, technology companies, investors, training institutions and other organisations.

In 2026, Morocco made its first official appearance at Gamescom, with 11 Moroccan studios participating in the country's pavilion.
