Overview

Tiny Baby Crown is an independent South African game studio founded by Estelle Makhoba and focused on creating games that combine cuteness and cleverness. The Pretoria-based studio describes its work as creating engaging entertainment experiences for a broad audience.

The studio is currently developing Daycare Dungeon, a 3D action roguelite in which players take control of a baby trapped in a mysterious daycare dungeon. Players switch between the real daycare and a fantasy dungeon world, using their imagination to overcome enemies and progress through the environment.

The project began as Dungeon Crawler through the Code Coven 2020 programme before being renamed Daycare Dungeon in 2025. Tiny Baby Crown has also developed smaller projects including Khwezi, Ambi and oeuvre.

The studio has received support through the African Game Developer Prototype Fund and Humble's Black Game Developer Fund, with Daycare Dungeon selected for both programmes.
