Carry1st launches Flow1st, an API for in-game commerce distribution

Carry1st has launched Flow1st, a new API solution that allows any digital consumer platform to sell in-game items and currencies directly to its users.

The launch sits alongside a broader refocus of the company around its commerce platform, built on Carry1st Shop and its payments gateway, Pay1st.

VP of growth Guillaume Noe told PocketGamer.biz that distribution has ramped up strongly since the shift, with new partners across Africa and beyond now selling games they procure through the Flow1st API.

A new entry point for partners

Flow1st extends Carry1st's existing payments and commerce infrastructure to third parties, giving platforms outside its own storefront a direct route to sell digital game content.

Noe said the approach combines Carry1st's payment and commerce platform with its local publishing expertise, allowing the company to deploy resources flexibly depending on what each partner needs.

The launch builds on Carry1st's existing footprint in North Africa and the Middle East, where it maintains a local presence in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Tunisia, and an active distribution network across Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Morocco.
