Exel by Merak invites gamers to playtest accelerator games in Riyadh

Exel by Merak revealed plans to let gamers playtest unreleased games from its accelerator at a community event in Riyadh on November 10th.

The Investors & Community Day runs from 8pm to 11pm and brings gamers, developers and creators together. Attendees can try games built through Exel's gaming accelerator and give feedback directly to the studios behind them.

The event listing says the studios "are here to listen" and that feedback goes "straight into their next build".

Doors open at 8pm with game testing until 9pm. A 30-minute panel follows on what makes a game worth playing, watching and sharing. Testing and networking then continue until 11pm.

What the evening includes

Registration is free through Luma and the event is listed as private. The venue is shared only after signing up. Exel has not named the studios or games on show, or the panellists. You can register here.

Exel is the Riyadh gaming accelerator backed by Merak Capital's $80 million gaming fund. It launched in November 2024 and gives selected studios up to $300,000 each, split between cash and in-kind support.

Its second cohort had 19 startups. A third cohort's bootcamp opened in June 2026 with 60 startups competing for in-person places.
