GameUp Academy hosts virtual game jam exploring vibe coding
The jam focuses on vibe coding and AI-assisted game development
Maliyo Games has revealed that GameUp Academy will host a virtual game jam running from Friday, October 30th to November 2nd, bringing together aspiring creators and games industry professionals to explore vibe coding.
The event is open to participants regardless of prior game development experience, aimed at anyone curious about building games with AI assistance. GameUp Academy said a few spots remain for those looking to join.
A growing academy push
The jam follows Maliyo Games' earlier rebrand of GameUp Africa into GameUp Academy, positioning the platform more directly around training and skill building for aspiring developers across the region.
The virtual format allows participants to join from wherever they are based. Those interested can register here.
